Social Enterprise & Workforce Commitment

Social Enterprise – PMR Associates Welding & Fabrication Inc.

Our Mission

PMR Associates Welding & Fabrication Inc. provides workforce development, skills training, and mentorship to underserved individuals, including students, at-risk youth, and formerly incarcerated persons. Our goal is to prepare participants for sustainable careers in welding and fabrication while promoting community development and economic opportunity.

Social Enterprise Commitment

PMR Associates Welding & Fabrication Inc. operates as a mission-driven social enterprise, prioritizing workforce development, mentorship, and future employment pathways for underemployed and hard-to-employ individuals as part of our commitment to inclusive economic opportunity.

How We Operate

Our social mission is integrated into every aspect of our business. We provide hands-on welding mentorship, guidance on career development, and support in securing apprenticeship opportunities with local unions, including Ironworkers Local 433. All business decisions are made to advance our social mission and support the professional growth of the individuals we serve.

Programs and Services

  • Mentorship & Training: Providing practical, hands-on welding and fabrication training.

  • Apprenticeship Support: Assisting participants in obtaining union apprenticeship placements and professional guidance.

  • Community Development: Supporting underserved populations through career preparation and skills development.

Future Commitment to Underserved Individuals

As contracts and projects are secured, PMR Associates plans to prioritize employment and training opportunities for underserved populations, including:

  • Individuals from low-income or economically disadvantaged backgrounds

  • Women and individuals from underrepresented communities in the skilled trades

  • Justice-impacted individuals

  • Veterans

  • Students or recent graduates of workforce training or vocational education programs

Measuring Our Impact

Although we have not yet hired staff, PMR Associates is committed to tracking the effectiveness and reach of our programs. Planned metrics include:

  • Number of trainees and mentees served

  • Hours of training provided

  • Apprenticeship placements secured

  • Demographic data of participants

  • Success stories and testimonials

We will use intake forms, workshop sign-in sheets, and apprenticeship placement records to track and report outcomes as our programs expand.

Evidence of Social Impact

Our work is documented through past mentorship successes, testimonials from students, and community engagement. Additional supporting materials, including photos, letters of support, and program descriptions, are available for review as part of our SE certification submission.
